Hi, anon!

Yes, i've talked about this many times before. So i'll just give you some bulletpoints about Louis' fandom.

Louis has hardly any gp fans or casual fans. His fanbase mostly consists of his fandom. Fandom is ride or die for him.

A large majority of Louis' fans are larries. It's hard to measure how many, since we haven't really been catered to since 181 bc. Which leads me to...

Larries are the fandom leaders. We are also the fandom glue. We set the tone, are able to influence and engage others, and are able to unite fans when we're inclined to do so. We are usually behind every campaign and fan project. We can make shit happen. Larries are united, and the bond to other larries are sometimes just as important as the bond to Louis. For some larries, fandom comes before Louis.

A lot of larries are veterans and have survived every attempt at invalidating us. We are hence immune to influence, gaslighting and lies. We can't easily be controlled.

We are woke. Probably one of the wokest fandoms there is. We call shit out and and we are loud about it. There is less blind idolatry than in other fandoms.

A lot of us are Lgbtqai+, like way more than in an average artist/celebrity fandom. That means we are not fans of his living in hope he'll marry us one day. His queer songs resonates with us, as does his fight with the closet and industry.

Louis isn't in control of his own fandom. He has little influence, because we aren’t sheep. We're independent thinkers. Fandom has it's own mind and decides what it true and not true, and what to support or not support, independently of Louis.

Fandom is organised, analytical and productive. We don’t take anything at surface level. We as a fandom can entertain ourselves when Louis is MIA. So he's losing less fans due to inactivity than most other fanbases.

marte, if louis and harry aren’t closeted by contract do you think there is another possibility (exept wanting fame and noney and choosing fame over freedom/their morals) why they are still not out? Which one could that be?

Hi!

There are lots of other options. I've mentioned it before, so i'll just sum it up for you in a bulleted list. This is both why they're not out and why they have to stunt. It kind of goes hand in hand. I'll even give you some examples.

No contract. Aka the label, mgmt or pr won't sign you to them if you don’t agree to stunting and staying in the closet. It's too big of an investment risk, so H and L had no choice but to sign under these terms if they ever wanted a career.

Right of first refusal. Harry couldn’t choose his own label or choose to leave Sony because of that. He was forced to continue on with Sony if he wanted a record deal. Same with Louis and Syco. Sony wants them closeted and stunting.

Blackmail. Using one to control the other. Bg being set up to closet Louis, but mostly to kill the larry rumors in relation to Harry. It could have damaged their solo aspirations with Harry. They need him looking het and Louis is a burden. Or bg being set up to damage Louis reputation so nobody else would want to sign him. Controlling Louis is also indirectly controlling Harry.

Bargaining. Harry says he'll stunt if i get to wear nail varnish on stage. Louis says he'll hold hands with Sofie if they break his contract with E. And the best ones, they get to sing songs about each other and their relationship if they just put in a well timed "...girl" or a voice of an ex on the album lol.

Trade off. Harry gets to do MP but must do DWD and stunt in return. Louis gets to make a documentary, but must put F in it in return.

Timing. Only one is in a position to come out and the other isn't. Harry might be able to, but is waiting for Louis because of bg.

thank you! 💚💜💚 there is indeed a bit of a timeskip between 6 and 7 -- I don't remember if they say exactly how long, but it's a few days at least? (the end of 6 has its own little timeskip that I think is supposed to be at least a few weeks later, and then the beginning of 7 is sorta vaguely sometime after that.) but yeah, it's not a direct picking-up where the last scene left off type of thing like 5 to 6 was!
